Plan and track

The work register, everything you might do.

Every project keeps a register of the work it might do: features and bugs, risks and requirements, epics and stories. Capture it the moment it comes up, shape it, and move it into a plan when it is ready.

One register per project: every item with its type, status, priority and source.

Where it lives

Open a project and choose Improvements & Tasks in the sidebar. Choose Not in a plan to see the backlog that no plan holds yet, or All items to include the ones already in plans.

Kinds of item

TypeIts id starts with
EpicEPIC-
User StorySTY-
RequirementREQ-
Test CaseTC-
SpikeSPK-
TaskTAS-
Feature, Enhancement, Bug, Tech Debt, Architecture Gap, Doc Gap, RiskIMP-

Items share one number sequence in each project, and the prefix follows the type, so an item keeps its number if you change its type. Statuses and priorities are the same as for plans and tasks.

Epics, stories and their children

Give any item a parent to build a hierarchy: an epic with its stories, a story with its tasks. A parent must be in the same project, and a hierarchy goes up to five levels deep.

List and board

  • The list shows open, closed or all items, with built-in views and any you save.
  • The board lays the same items out in columns by status, priority, type, category, assignee or phase. Drag a card to another column to change it.
  • Filter by where an item came from (general work, or a compliance scan), by type, by what it sits under, and by assignee.
  • Link an item to records in your databases, and filter by a linked record or by its table.
The same items as a board.

Inside an item

  • A description, acceptance criteria, an owner, a target date, and the plan it belongs to, if any.
  • Evidence for risks, bugs, gaps and tech debt: a linked document, a link, or a note.
  • Attachments of up to 10 MB each.
  • Activity: every change and comment, in order.
  • AI Enrich fills in the details of a new item from its title and what you wrote. It uses credits for the AI it runs.

From the register to a plan

When an item is ready to be worked on, choose a plan in its Plan field. It then shows in that plan, where it can take dates on the timeline, and it keeps its id and its history.

Limits

How many items your organisation can keep depends on your plan. Where there is a limit, Usage at the top of the register shows it and how much is used. See pricing.
