Agents

Connectors to the tools you already use.

Connect your organisation's Microsoft 365 mail once, so agents can watch it and act in it. You decide how far each connection reaches, and when an agent must ask a person first.

Organisation settings, Connected apps, Connectors: your connections, what they did, and the rules for agents.

Where connectors live

Owners and admins manage connectors under Organisation settings, Connected apps, Connectors, with tabs for Connections, Activity and Rules. Members find their own connections in their personal settings. Connectors appear once agents are switched on for the organisation.

What you can connect

Mail can be shared with your organisation, or personal to one person.

Connect your mail

  1. Press Add connection and choose Microsoft 365 mail

Microsoft Teams, Slack and the other apps in the catalogue are marked Coming soon.
  2. Set up

Choose who uses it: shared with your organisation, where admins choose which agents and people may use it, or personal, where agents use it only for work you start or duties you own. Then what it can do: read only; draft, which can make changes such as drafting replies but never sends anything outside; or send, which can also send messages outside your organisation, with a person approving each one first.
  3. Sign in

Sign in with Microsoft, as the mailbox the connection will act as.
  4. Check

Stable Baseline checks the connection works and tells you who it acts as.
Choose Microsoft 365 mail, who uses it and what it can do, then sign in.

Rules

The Rules tab sets limits for every connection, and for each kind of connector:

  • Whether agents may use a connector at all.
  • The most it can do: read, draft or send, or no limit.
  • Whether shared connections are allowed, and whether agents may work when nobody is around.
  • Actions that always need a person's approval first.

A rule can only make an action stricter, never looser.

Rules make connections stricter: what agents may do, and when.

Look after a connection

  • Each connection's page shows what it can do, who it acts as, and its recent activity.
  • Check it works, Sign in again when a sign-in lapses, or rename it.
  • Pause it, and events wait up to 7 days for it to resume.
  • Disconnect it by typing its name: agents stop using it at once, and it cannot be undone.

Limits and fees

How many connections and watched mailboxes you can have depends on your plan; disconnected ones do not count. Usage, at the top of the Connections page, shows your connections against your plan. See pricing. Connectors carry no fee of their own.
